All ages –  Join us to walk the runway while showing off your Hunger Games-inspired look or Halloween costume!  Come dressed to impress, get creative, and have some fun on the runway.  Will you volunteer as tribute?

Bring your imagination and use found, recycled, or everyday items to create, customize, embellish, and transform an outfit worthy of the runway. Let your creativity run wild! Then, show off your one-of-a-kind creation at the Afton Games Fashion Show on October 29 at 5:30 PM.

Wildland Survival – Shelter & Fire Building at Frank Liske Park* (AFT)

Ages 10-18 – Step outdoors and discover how to survive in the wild by building a basic shelter and learning how to safely start and maintain a fire. Can you build a shelter strong enough to withstand the elements? You won’t want to miss these hands-on activities! *Registration Required*

Couch to 5K at Frank Liske Park* (AFT)

Ages 8+ – Join the Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks Couch to 5K for a group training program designed for total beginners to get race-ready for the Jack O’ Lantern Jaunt 5K! *Registration Required*

Come join us as we take a stroll around the park on this Cider Walk! This day we will be appreciating nature as we do activities centered around District 11. Cider will be provided. Limited Supply!

Blanket Making at Frank Liske Park* (AFT)

Ages 18+ – Get cozy with us and hand-knit your own blanket! This day we will be embracing our textile making ability as we do activities centered around District 8. You will be creating your own unique 4 ft x 6 ft chunky knit blanket. All supplies will be provided. Registration required.
