Laura’s Narrative: A Cabarrus Story of Slavery and Freedom (CON)

Editor Bernard Davis Jr. shares the story of Laura Misenheimer-Dry, a Cabarrus woman who was born into slavery and emancipated at age sixteen. Hear how he worked with descendants to make sure the experiences of Laura and her mother Luce continue to be known and shared. Sponsored by the Concord Friends of the Library. No registration.
